Merchant Terms

These terms apply when a business registers with KYM Registry ("KYM", "we", "us") and whenever a person uses the merchant pages at registry.kymregistry.com on its behalf. By pressing Agree when you set up your company's record, you accept them for the company. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. What KYM does

KYM checks that a business is real and registered and that it controls the web domains it names. Once a KYM admin has reviewed and accepted the company's documents and the company has proved control of a domain, KYM issues a credential bound to that domain. Agents, payment providers and anyone else can then ask KYM whether a site is the verified merchant it claims to be. KYM also lists verified merchants so that AI agents can find them.

2. Who can register

3. What you give us

4. What a KYM credential means, and what it doesn't

5. What is public

So that anyone can check a merchant, these are public: the company's legal name, registration number and register, its verified domains, each credential's level, status and expiry, its listing, and its logo once accepted. KYM shows them through its API, its MCP server for AI agents and the directory on kymregistry.com, and may describe the company as a KYM-verified merchant. The people who act for the company, their email addresses and the documents are never made public.

6. Your listing

7. Reading your website

You allow KYM's crawler, KYM-Registry-Bot, to read public pages of your proven domains to draft and keep your listing up to date, and to keep copies of those pages as a record of where each fact came from. It identifies itself, obeys robots.txt, never logs in and never submits a form. What it drafts is only a suggestion until a person saves it.

8. Traffic

KYM counts when agents check your company and when someone follows a KYM link to your site. We may show you your own counts. Visits we send are tagged utm_source=KYM-Registry so you can see them in your own analytics.

9. Premium Trial and fees

10. Suspension and revocation

KYM may suspend or revoke a credential, or close a record, if information given to us is false or out of date, the company loses control of a domain, the company is struck off or stops trading, the credential or listing is misused, the company is involved in fraud, unlawful activity or sanctions, or these terms are broken. Where we can, we will tell you first and let you put things right. A revoked credential stays revoked; a new one needs a new check.

11. Leaving

You can ask us at any time to revoke your credentials and close your company's record. We then stop listing it at once and keep its records only as long as the Privacy Policy says.

12. Fair use

Don't try to get a credential for a business or a domain that isn't yours, interfere with KYM's checks or systems, or use KYM to mislead buyers or agents.

13. Liability

KYM is provided as it is, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, KYM is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, and our total liability to a company under these terms is limited to the greater of the fees it paid KYM in the 12 months before the claim and S$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud. The company is responsible for loss KYM suffers because information or documents it gave us were false.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For any change that matters, we will email the company's owner at least 30 days before it takes effect, and ask you to agree to the new version the next time you sign in. If you don't agree, you can leave as in section 11.

15. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore decide any dispute about them.
